Happy Waffle Day

August 24, it’s National Waffle Day! OMG, it is time to celebrate! HAPPY WAFFLE DAY!

Waffles are my hands down favorite food. I eat them every day, saving them to be my post-workout reward. My waffles are even deeply philosophical. I don’t need a reason/holiday to celebrate waffles because EVERY day is Waffle Day to me, but this gives me a darn good reason to shower my blog with waffle madness. Plug in your iron because we are waffling it up today!

listen to your waffles — Just one because I eat them as they come out of the iron.

I use a tiny Dash waffle iron to make those perfect little rounds. My iron fell apart or melted or something happened a few days ago. I was sad.

So I replaced it with a wafflier waffle maker.

Waffles in my life

Waffles have been a part of some important life events for me. The first small kitchen appliance I ever bought? A waffle iron. The food we ate while running Rim to Rim to Rim at the Grand Canyon? Honey Stinger Waffles. A “first foods” neat way to cook a meal full of veggies and things for my kids when they started eating finger foods? Waffles!
