I Will Always Rise

Positive self-talk time – for me AND for you. No matter what happens, and no matter what I choose to do regarding my next surgery, one thing is certain: I will always rise. I always have, and I always will. ‘Til death do me part, I will always rise.

It may not always be pretty, or direct, or even timely, but it is a surety.

Rising is not a given or something that just happens. It requires work.

To succeed it is necessary to accept the world as it is and rise above it.

Knock me down, I get back up.

Throw me a life lesson, I will learn from it. Eventually.

Give me difficulties, I will embrace each as the gift that it is.

These moments in life are not to be tossed aside and avoided, but rather danced with in order to discover the beauty in each. There is something to be discovered in every one.

Not only will the sun always rise, but the night is the darkest right before the sunrise. I remind myself of this, giving impetus to push right through. The sunrise is right around the bend.

Life isn’t fair. It’s true, and you still have to deal with it. Whining about it rarely levels the playing field, but learning to rise above it is the ultimate reward.

I will always rise, stronger, bouncing higher each time. And behind me will be a rainbow trail, just like Giant Realistic Flying Tiger and Nyan Cat.

Rising is exciting and fun! Opportunities to rise are opportunities for increased badassery.

Plate Tectonics

This is perfect imagery for this week because my bestie and I are planning to go on our Hope Pass adventure in a few days. It is all about climbing mountains, rising up, new beginnings, and burying the old. Look at these convergent continental boundaries. They are a lot like life issues, collisions, and conflict. They force one side to rise into mighty mountains and one to sink into the depths of the Earth’s crust. There’s no middle ground and the collision is unavoidable. Which side would you rather be on?

I’m choosing to take the high plate, rising high, surpassing even Everest, because no matter what…
