Continuing from my last post, today I’m sharing Willa’s photographs. This is what happens when you give a child a camera – once you’ve set it up and shown them the basics, they will run off and shoot everything their heart desires. This was true for me and both of my boys who are now accomplished photographers. I suppose it is a strong case of tree -> apple, apple, apple, but I believe it is such an unintimidating, fun, and free form of art that children naturally love it.

Yesterday we went on our annual family pumpkin patch outing, back to Anderson Farms in Erie, CO again. We loved it so much last year, we had to go back there again. I think it is our spot now. Read on to see the fun we had – Pumpkin Patch 2022!
Almost a week post-op, how am I doing? What’s my progress? Can I tell the difference between pre- and post-? How’s the fwelling? What’s the scoop on post-op day 6?

In any case, here they are! Faces of Willa, a moment of about 4 seconds duration on one random Saturday morning in December.
Can you hear the slow creaking of the Fun Factory in the image above? Willa spent hours playing with her old, dried out Play-Doh over the weekend, getting up on the table to push down the lever with all her might. Creeeeaaaakkkkkkkkkk…
Yesterday we went on a family outing to the National Western Stock Show here in Denver, an annual 16 day extravaganza 116 years running. This was our second time going, exactly 10 years to the day since we went the first time. I guess that is our tradition? It feels like it was a whole different lifetime. While we saw and did a lot of things, the highlights for Willa were Twinkie and Cowboy…
