Huggy Wuggy

Good lord, welcome my Twilight Zone. I have to introduce you to Willa’s new favorite character and doll – Huggy Wuggy. Do not let the name fool you! We landed on him accidentally one day while trying to find something on YouTube with Mason. As always happens with YouTube, your eye gets sucked into other things off to the sides. On this particular day, we saw a thumbnail very much like the photo at the top of this post – awwww how cute! Mason knew what it was so he had us watch.

Poppy Playtime

It turns out Huggy Wuggy is super weird! He is from an Indy game called Poppy Playtime, some random video game set inside a defunct toy factory. Creepy AF.

He’s not really all that cute. Like, what up with those teeth? Willa instantly fell in love.

There’s even this song from the game, her new play on repeat fave.

Halloween Candy

Every year I do a trade with my kids. They trade all of their Halloween candy in for something they really want – a new Lego set, game credits, etc. Can you guess what Willa wanted?

Huggy Wuggy!

I thought there would be no way there’s merch for that game – it’s a low-budget Indy game after all. I got to digging and freaking found Huggy Wuggy dolls on eBay from a Chinese seller!

And now, shhhhh don’t share the next part, I’m so badass I found his girlfriend, a giant pink Huggy Wuggy. I’m saving her for Christmas.
