Today is National Thank You Note Day. It makes perfect sense being the day after Christmas. So, today we will all sit down to pen thank you notes to those that not only gave us gifts, but also those that thought of us in special ways or deserve gratitude for any reason. Willa got a head start…
Willa’s Thank You Notes
Willa wrote this one to our dance studio owner for helping her find her Huggy Wuggy doll before Christmas. She had left it at class on the last day and was sooooo sad. But, fast acting and caring Betsy came to the rescue. She gets this thank you note:
And the one at the top of this post is for Peeky, our Elf on the Shelf. He left us reindeer food on his last day so Willa wanted to thank him for that as well as his whole month of fun.
The value of a hand crafted thank you note isn’t lost on her.
Mason’s Thank You Notes
Mason hasn’t started yet because he spent the entirety of Christmas Day on a Lego build:
But he finished the project and will begin his thank you notes today.
Thank You Note Party
Since we have already strung together our own flavor of Festivus, Christmas Eve, and Christmas, why not tack on another day of celebration with Thank You Note Day and turn it into a party, too? I’m sure I’ll get majorly booed if I try to put on any more Christmas music but I bet we can find something fun to listen to while we write and draw and have fun.
Let’s get to writing!
My first thank you will go to my kids for giving me a day with all three of them together. My heart is always settled and at peace when I have them all near me.
