I did it! I finally set a Next Appointment! Today we are 10 months plus two days post-op, and now we are also nine weeks out from my upcoming appointment. I figure at the very least we will gather valuable data about healing rate, something to compare to the previous appointment at six months. Six months versus one year. What does that look like? From that, can we predict when it might be fully healed?
Expectations
What are my expectations this time around?
Absolutely nothing. Not as in no further healing, but as in I have no expectation. It is the best place to be!
In short, you must remember this—that if you hold anything dear outside of your own reasoned choice, you will have destroyed your capacity for choice.

Recalibrating Expectations
Do you remember what happened with my last appointment? As much as I told myself I was open to any result, I was attached to the result. It took me a short bit of time to recalibrate and shelve it, moving my attention to other things within my control.
This is definitely something that matters, but it is outside my realm of control. I can influence it with diet, exercise, mental energy, Exogen bone stimulator treatments twice a day, etc., but it is ultimately outside my control. Therefore, it isn’t what I should intently focus on. I have been content with the concept of I Will Get There.
Nine Weeks Out
This time will fly by! It usually crawls by so incredibly, painfully, slowly, but this time my focus is elsewhere, unattached to This. I’ve got other goals and timelines to attend to!
So, mark your calendar. And in the meantime, watch me fly with my goals and life!
