Yesterday wrapped up the final day of the 12 Days of Love Letters. Did you participate? If not, it isn’t too late! As long as you get them in the mail by 12/20 you’re good. And, you’re free to write to some, one, all – you choose. The value is tremendous! On the 12th day of letter writing I still had a few more to go but will finish them in time.
On the 12th Day of Letter Writing
I have a few more to finish up, taking a few minutes here and there to spend with each one. The stories are so touching, I can’t help but pen a thoughtful message of encouragement and love to the recipients.
The recipients are from all walks of life, a wide range of ages, and one is even in Russia. In case you’re wondering how much postage to put on a letter bound for Russia – LOOK HERE. Admittedly, I almost let not knowing that deter me from writing.
One recipient has her birthday on Christmas so I’m sending her a happy birthday card.
Weekend Letters
The 12 days included a weekend where we were encouraged to write to someone in our own lives.
I love this! How often do we actually write letters? Do you even have stamps in your house? This plants the seeds for what the love letters mission is about, seeds for continuing the practice year-round. How lovely it is to send and receive a hand-written letter/note/card. I save the special ones that come to me.
Letter Writing Year Round
Are you interested in continuing the practice? Do you need a nudge or like the idea of sending encouragement and joy to people you don’t know? Do you want to nominate someone in your life to receive love letters? If so, sign up HERE to get involved.
I’m heading to the mailbox today to get mine sent. I hope you will pick up a pen and paper/card/post-it note/ANYTHING and send some love out into the world today. Even one makes a difference!
