Dear Jen,
We missed you SO MUCH on our tubing adventure yesterday, today’s post is for you!
Tubing
Yesterday we went on a family outing to Colorado Adventure Park, the best tubing hill in Colorado. We hadn’t been since early 2014. Mason was nearly Willa’s age and she wasn’t even a thought yet. Of course, we invited Jen and her family! But sometimes plans change.
HOWEVER…
That doesn’t mean we can’t take our friends with us, anyway!
We had a blast and I had my best friend with me for every ride. I especially thought of our collective 18 surgeries as I seriously bruised my sacrum on the first run. OUCH!
Dear tubing place, I highly recommend teaching people best riding positions when the runs are icy.
Jen, let’s plan another day! I have mastered the tubing hover position so we can protect our booties. We need some fun, silly time together and something NORMAL after everything we have been through. Grab your gear and let’s go! I love you so much!
Disclaimer – I am not wearing a helmet because I gave away my hat to Willa to make her helmet fit, my goggles went to Mason since his went to Willa, and so I was left with my running glasses and had to buy a new hat. The glasses didn’t work with a helmet so I guess I valued not having ice in my eyes more than protecting my head?? Note to self – get more winter gear for everyone. We have taken all these years off because of ME and my endless surgeries – time to move on from that!
